Rhinoplasty whether open or close is more than a mere skin deep
Rhinoplasty is the surgery to reshape the nose of the human body, and there are two approaches which are Open Rhinoplasty, and the other one is Closed Rhinoplasty. When the doctors use both depending on the nature of the patients and their problem, these procedures are not that simple as you might be thinking. Nose of the human body is one of the most delicate parts of the body, and we inhale through it, and thus any damage to it can be life-threatening. It is essential for the doctor and the patient to understand which of the two approaches is right for the patient and then only go forward with the same.
The techniques used in both the procedures are different when the open method involves incision from the soft tissues of the nose; the closed process consists of all incision to be made inside the nostril. In the first mode, the cartilages can be readily observed, and thus the cosmetic surgery becomes more comfortable, but in closed Rhinoplasty, it is difficult to view the cartilages, it is all depended on the surgeon how he uses his knowledge and experience. Open Rhinoplasty is more flexible than the closed as with the former one you can play with the shape of your nose in any manner; you can ask your doctor to put it inside if it is too large or extends it is too flat, etc.
There are individual parts of the nose like cephalic cartilages which can be better altered with open Rhinoplasty only as that is the most convenient option. These cartilages are connected to the ears and the heads, and thus if you follow the closed approach to alter these parts, it might be dangerous for your health as well.
You should always consult your doctor over the choice of these two approaches according to the need and condition and then proceed.
